Andy owns a lake cottage in his hometown of Kingston, Ontario. He is a three-time winner of the Kingston recreation department's under-15 age category for slalom free-style waterski competition. An accomplished fisherman, he has landed a 14-pound Pike (on the St. Lawrence River) and a 32-pound salmon (in Lake Ontario). During the summer Andy lifts weights, performs plyometric exercises and bicycles to stay fit. Last summer, while in San Jose rehabilitating a shoulder injury, he became a huge fan of the San Jose Giants. Sutton's personal best in golf is a 73, and he won The Sharks Foundation/Buf Ice Golf Classic longest drive competition with a blast of more than 300 yards. Andy possesses one of the hardest slapshots on the team and twice broke the plexiglass while playing Tier II Jr. A hockey. |
