Jarrod is in his second season with the Sharks. Jarrod played Pro Beach Hockey last summer for the Heavy Metal team. This made-for-TV summer league played on in-line skates and sports several unique rules. Before the Pro Beach Hockey season started, Jarrod went on the Sharks cruise with nearly 200 Sharks Fans. He played for Sharks Assistant Coach Paul Baxter two years ago at St. John of the American Hockey League. Jarrod lives in Las Vegas during the offseason with his wife, Erin, and daughter, True. His favorite movie is Cool Hand Luke, and he enjoys listening to the music of Pearl Jam and The Tragically Hip. Jarrod owns a motel in his hometown of Niagara Falls, Ontario called La Riviera. He plays golf in his spare time. Jarrod traveled to Paris during the summer of 1997 for the French Open and visited the resting place of Jim Morrison, former lead singer of The Doors. Last summer, he attended opening day at Delmar Race Track in San Diego and went on a fishing trip where he caught several 15 pound chum salmon. Once the fish were filleted and vacuum packed, he had them shipped to Las Vegas. |
