Brantt signed with San Jose last summer after playing with Philadelphia last year. Brantt would like to become an actor after his hockey career. During his spare time, he enjoys watching "Days of Our Lives." He lists scoring his first NHL goal (March 7, 1995 vs. Philadelphia) as his most memorable moment. Brantt, who is single, hopes to launch an acting career once his career is finished utilizing several industry contacts in Hollywood to become a stuntman. A self proclaimed Sony Playstation nut, Brantt's two favorite games are PGA Golf and Tomb Raider, an action thriller that he finished in five months. Brantt is very superstitious and had many game day routines, including eating his favorite meal of macaroni and cheese. He wants to begin taking guitar lessons and lists one of his greatest thrills would be to meet Jon Bon Jovi. An accomplished chef, he spends his summers vacationing at two cottages he owns near Edmonton, fishing for Pickerel and Jack fish that he fillets and smokes himself.
