Steve participated in his second consecutive AHL All-Star Classic in February, scoring 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist), recording a +2 and posting 6 shots at the midseason classic held in Syracuse's War Memorial arena. He enjoys playing golf, watching action movies and listens to all types of music. He also likes water sports, especially water and jet skiing. Steve attended Michigan State University, where he was named the Spartans "Most Outstanding Player" in 1993-94 and where he played with fellow NHLers Rem Murray, Anson Carter and Brian Smolinski. Steve is several classes away from a bachelor of science in physical education and a minor in business. Steve likes horses and hopes to someday own a few race horses. His favorite movie is "The Shawshank Redemption."
