Andrei switched to number 4 this season, allowing NHL veteran Gary Suter to wear number 20. A native of Ufa, Russia, Andrei played two seasons for his hometown hockey club, Salavat Yulayev, before joining the Sharks. He was a runner-up in the January NHL Rookie of the Month voting, posting five points (2 goals, 3 assists) and +2 in 13 games. He enjoys watching television and movies, listing "Pulp Fiction" as his favorite film. His favorite actors are Eddie Murphy and Sylvester Stallone. A fan of rock-n-roll music, he likes listening to the band "Offspring." Last summer, Andrei returned to Ufa and spent time with his family and friends. Andrei's favorite pre-game meal is spaghetti. During the 1996-97 season, Andrei was rated the top prospect outside the NHL by "The Hockey News."











Andrei Zyuzin was one of the three Sharks rookies last season, and has shown both Sharks coaches and fans that he has what it takes to become a great NHL defenseman. Andrei scored the game winning goal in overtime in Game 4 vs. the Dallas Stars.
