Stephane and his wife, Nathalie, celebrated the birth of their new baby, Alyson, last year. They also have a son, Stefan Jr. The family returns to Stephane's native Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec during the offseason where he worked out with several of the local college baseball teams. Last summer, he played with teammate Tony Granato in the Easter Seals Softball SMASH celebrity game. He is boyhood friends with NHL player Pierre Turgeon and the two played hockey and organized baseball together, including the 1982 Little League World Series in Williamsport, Penn. Stephane's second-overtime goal for the New York Rangers versus the New Jersey Devils in the semi-finals of the 1994 Stanley Cup Playoffs was recently listed 31st on the list of New York's Top 100 Sports Moments.
